How do I get started?
The first step is to have a website or blog that generates traffic. If you don't have one, create one—everyone has something to write about. Next you will need to apply to an affiliate program. Select an affiliate program that matches the interests of your online visitors—if your content is about poetry then a power tool affliate will proabably not generate many clickthroughs. Some affiliate programs will scan your site and will serve ads appropriate to your content. The application process can take anywhere from instant approval to a couple of days. Affilliate programs may want to review your content before approving your application. Once you are approved, you will either be given some code to include in your site, or given a site to generate the code yourself. You will need to insert this code into your content.
